DOLAMARA, Sept 16: Dolamara FA defeated Chingthur Youth Club Diring 4-3 to become champion of the 18th edition of Dolamara Malasi Sports Association (DMSA) club league.
The Dolamara Malasi Sports Association (DMSA) which is affiliated to KASA hosted the 18th edition of its club league starting from 3rd September and concluded today. The final match was played between Dolamara Football Academy and Chingthur Youth Club Diring.
In today’s match the score was 1-1, but after the tie breaker shootout, Dolamara FA managed to score over Chingthur Youth Club Diring for 4-3 and bagged the championship trophy with Rs.12000/- cheque and the runner up team was awarded Rs.8000/-. VDC chairman Sarkoi Rongphar attended the event as chief guest on behalf of EM Richard Tokbi.
While speaking to the media, Robinson Rongphar secretary DMSA informed that a total of 8 teams participated in this league. He also expressed his disappointment over the poor condition of the playground saying that the players had to battle on the muddy field and appealed the Dy. Speaker Dr. Numol Momin and KAAC EM Richard Tokbi to sanction funds for field development.
