DIPHU, Jan 03: The 20th Battalion, CRPF based in Diphu, Karbi Anglong, Assam celebrated its 55th Raising day on 01 January, 2023.
The event was led by Tilak Raj, 2 i/c (Commandant, AOL) 20 Bn. Several other senior officers, sub ordinate officers and jawans of the unit, Madhumita Bhagawati, ACS, Deputy Commissioner of Karbi Anglong, Karbi Anglong SP Sanjib Kumar Saikia, APS, also graced the occasion with their presence.
On the occasion, battalion also paid homage to the martyrs who paid their supreme sacrifice in the line of service to the nation.
A series of various activities including a cultural programme which included dances like Bhangra, Bihu, Music and sports activities like Handball and Tug of war were also organized at unit headquarter which was followed by a regimental dinner “Bara Khana” joined together by all ranks and invitees.
