BOKAJAN, Mar 28: In a latest catch for security agency, the Karbi Anglong police seized 45 soap cases containing 566 grams of heroin during a search conducted inside a car at a checkpoint at Lahorijan under the Lahorijan out post here today.
According to the cops, the narcotic substances were kept inside the soap boxes which were concealed inside a secret hidden chamber made above the fuel tank of the car with the registration number MN01AG1464. Following the recovery of the narcotic substances, the driver of the vehicle namely Paokhanlal Manlun (27) S/O- Ziltong Manlun, resident of Songjang village, Saikul, Senapati, Manipur has been taken into custody for further interrogation.
The drugs packets are seized under the physical supervision of SDPO Bokajan and OC Dilai, police informed.
