BOKAJAN, Sep 15: Acting on secret information received from its sources, the police on Thursday evening set a special check-point under Khatkhati Police Station near Khatkhati SBI. The checking was led by ASP Security John Das APS along with OC Khatkhati, PS staff and C20 CRPF camp Bokajan.
At arout 5:30 pm one Night Super Bus coming from Dimapur was intercepted and recovered 4 nos. Soap Boxes of Heroin weighing 47.9 Grams were in the possession of one lady named Papori Das (25), wife of Pabitra Das of Narayanpur, Lakhimpur. The substances were hidden inside her clothes.
Another person named Pritam Prakash Neog (34), son of Nirmal Ch. Neog of Merbil Gaon, Lakhimpur was also arrested along with Pabitra. It was known that Pritam used the lady to carry the consignment. A case is being registered in this connection.
