DONGKAMUKAM, Mar 31: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) IT cell chairman Ratul Kalita in a press meeting at Dongkamukam on Friday strongly demanded the formation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) in Lokh Sabha to unearth Rs 20,000 crores pumped into the account of Adanis Group.
‘JPC was formed during the Prime Ministership of Rajiv Gandhi, Narasimha Rao and even in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s time to know the fact of various scams but why is the present PM Modi afraid to form it,’ Kalita asked.
Regarding the sentencing of Rahul Gandhi by the court he said that it is a greater conspiracy on part of the ruling Government not to raise the nexus of Modi and Adani in Parliament.
BJP Government wanted Rahul Gandhi to be dislodged from Parliament because he is the one who was questioning the relationship of Modi Adani, Rs 20000 crores pumping into Adani’s account, Adani fleeing the country, etc.
“But our mass leader Rahul Gandhi is strong and will continue to voice against Government and will not succumb to the pressure meted by saffron leaders until JPC is formed,” the Congress leader finally said.
In the press meeting APCC Social Media Co-ordinator Bimal Doley, president of West Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee (WKADCC) Sing Teron, VP WKADCC Rupsing Bongrung, VP Jatiram Pator, GS (Admin) Honsing Enghee, GS Chatrasing Teron and president of WKADMCC Kareng Phanchopi were present.
