DONGMUKAK, Mar 31: In a horrific incident, a woman was hacked to death in Sam Taro village under the Dokmoka police station here this morning. The accused has also been arrested by the police.
The crime took place at around 9:30 am when the accused identified as Babu Ronghang, attacked the victim with sharp weapon, identified as Joya Ronghangpi, wife of Tarun Taro. The victim was immediately taken to Dokmoka Primary Health Centre but failed to save due to the grievous injury.
Following this horrific act, the accused Babu Ronghang has been arrested and was brought to Dokmoka police station for investigation into the incident. The accused reportedly claimed that land dispute was the reason behind the heinous act. Meanwhile, pall of gloom and shocked has engulfed the family and the village. The deceased has left behind the husband and a three-year old son.
