BOKAJAN, Apr 01: Bokajan-based hardware store owner Chandan Pathak sought an apology from local student organisation leaders following his impolite behaviour towards them.
On March 31, Karbi Students Association (KSA) Langchithing president Anilson Teron and literary secretary Elwin Teron had approached Chandan Pathak, the owner of Hanuman Hardware in Khatkhati seeking a donation through an appeal note. The businessman showed rude behaviour and threw away the donation letter.
Following this, the KSA Bokajan District Committee president Raju Engleng, secretary Desoi Teron and others visited the store to know the situation. They were informed that the KSA Arnamlangpi branch members were seeking donations for a get-together event. KSA vehemently condemned the impolite reaction of Pathak and filed an FIR against him at the Khatkhati police station.
Pathak, eventually sought an apology from KSA and appealed for pardoning this one time. Both parties have now compromised, and the situation is brought to normal.
