DIPHU, Apr 08: The final rehearsal exhibition of Bihu programme was organised by the Karbi Anglong District Administration today at Government Boys’ Higher Secondary Playground. More than 125 participants from East Karbi Anglong & West Karbi Anglong including Nasoni, Dhulias pepa and Tal will participate in the Mega Bihu Event to be held at Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati on 14th April, 2023 in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This programme at Guwahati is aimed to create a Guinness Book of World Record.
Today at Diphu, KAAC CEM Dr Tuliram Ronghang attended the programme as Chief Guest along with MLA Bidyasing Engleng Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council EMs, MACs, and boards chairmen.
A warm welcome speech was delivered by Karbi Anglong Deputy Commissioner Madhumita Bhagawati, ACS in which she stated the objective of the programme.
Other dignitaries present were Padmashree Dhaneswar Engti, Karbi Anglong Superintendent of Police Sanjeeb Saikia, senior journalists and other officers and many other distinguished guests. The district administration had deputed its officers to lead the team to Guwahati.
