BOKAJAN, Apr 7: Several pharmacies located under Bokajan Sub-Division are operating without proper license for the past several years, exposing locals to health risks.
Locals told TDE that the pharmacies run their business without license from the beginning but the local anticipated them to get one in the course. However, the pharmacies tested the people’s patience and didn’t try to get the license within the expected period.
Stating that it is a risky matter and it will be a disaster if expired medicines are given to people, the locals stated that the health department has to tighten the noose around these pharmacies and urged the EM i/c Medical Surjya Rongphar and CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council to critically analyse and take matter into consideration to avoid mishap in the days to come.
