KOILAMATI, Apr 12: Residents of Khanari Rengma village in Koilamati had expressed their dissatisfaction over the poor functioning of APDCL as the consumers have been given doubtful electricity bills without meter readings.
The APDCL Bokajan installed electricity in this village located around 50 kilometers away from Koilamati, in the year 2018 for both APL and BPL consumers. However, the APDCL is showing reluctance to maintain the proper supply of power and also regularity in the collection of bills.
Talking to TDE, the SGB Ronswan Rengma, village headman GB Rosulo Rengma and Philo Rengma informed that they are charged bills without anyone coming to read the meter box. They had visited the APDCL’s office at Bokajan several times but no action has been taken to address their issue.
It may be mentioned that that remote village was established in the year 1942. However, the village is yet to receive good facilities like proper road connectivity.
