DONGKAMUKAM, Apr 12: The three-day 2nd Bohagi Mela which began on 10th April ended today, it was held at Tumpreng Bazar Griha, West Karbi Anglong and organised by Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission in collaboration with Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Govt of Assam.
On the concluding day today, the prize distribution session was held this evening. It was attended by VDC chairman of Bithung Rengthama constituency Ramson Rongpi and Dr. Mridul Thakuria. Both joined in giving away the prizes of the winners won in different categories.
In chorus singing Amlong Sarpo CLF (1st), Atmo Sanjivini CLF(2nd) and Kopili CLF (3rd) emerged as winners. In diha naam competition, Urvashi Narua Group (1st), Atmo Sanjivini (2nd) and Prarthana Group (3rd) were champions. While in Arts (Drawing) competition of Group A, Kasturi Saikia (1st,) Nikita Teronpi (2nd) and Bani Kemprai (3rd), and in Group B Plalakhi Saikia (1st), and Harshita Bhuyan (2nd) came out in positions.
In the Dance category Group A Kristy Barua (1st) Nibaron Bora (2nd) and Runasmita Bora (3rd) while in Group B Quintila Hansepi (1st) Langmuir Khanjai (2nd) and OB Bathari (3rd) and in Group C Gitika Laram (1st) Ankita Limbu (2nd) and Niharika Bhuyan (3rd) emerged as winners.
