DONGKAMUKAM, Apr 13: KAAC chief Dr Tuliram Ronghang today inaugurated the new Operation Theatre of Kheroni Model Hospital, Kheroni West Karbi Anglong.
In the hospital modern-day equipment is installed for operation activities. While speaking at the short meeting as chief guest he said it to be a historic day for the people of West Karbi Anglong.
“Most patients travel adjacent District Hojai or Metro City Guwahati for better treatment but now major treatment can be done here” CEM confidently said.
“It is a long-standing demand fulfilled now. People will have to spend lesser money to travel for availing treatment”, he said.
He further assured to build a similar model hospital in Jerikending and Umpanai in the future. He asked doctors, nurses etc. to work honestly and behave politely with patients and families. He also finally assured to provide 15 nos. of ambulance vehicles for the council foundation day celebration.
A memorandum demanding the construction of a staff quarter, approach brick tiles road from PWD to hospital, ambulance vehicle for hospital, godown for medicine store, Asha workers room etc. The programme was also attended by MP Horensing Bey, MLA Bidhyasing Engleng, KAAC deputy speaker Ajit Dey, EMs of KAAC and Jt. Director Health & Family Welfare Dr. Jagat Teron and others.
