BOKAJAN, Apr 20: A car mechanic died in Khatkhati after the vehicle he was repairing fell on him. The incident happened on Wednesday evening at around 3 PM at Hawlder Garage located near Raj Palace under Khatkhati Police Station.
The mechanic identified as Bikash Rai (22), son of Bosond Rai, resident of Khatkhati Nothong Teron village was repairing a Mercedes car and was underneath the vehicle. Unfortunately, while he was busy in his work, the metal supporting the car slipped and the car fell upon him, killing him on the spot.
Local police were informed of the incident. They rushed to the spot and took possession of the corpse and sent it to DMCH for autopsy.
