Massive fire destroys 20 shops in Sukhanjan

BOKAJAN, Apr 24: Atleast 20 shops were completed gutted when a massive fire broke out at the Sukhanjan town under the Bokajan police station at around 4:30 pm here this evening.
According to witnesses, the fire first broke out below a two-storey building and quickly spread to other shops of the same building located near the highway. The local Bokajan police station was immediately called followed by the Bokajan fire service department however, the fire went out of control due to the extreme dry and completely destroyed many shops before the fire control personnel could reach the spot of the fire accident.
A book store, tailor shop, watch & clocks shop, kitchen utensils, jewelry store, shoe, Ayurvedic store, and electrical shore were among the shops that were completely gutted by the blaze. So far, properties worth more than Rs. 3 crore were destroyed by the fire.
