DIPHU, Apr 27: The 4-day long 31st annual conference of the Karbi Lammet Amei began this afternoon with the inauguration of the conference gate by KAAC EM Lunsing Teron. The evening is being held at Rasinja Aklam, Dongmukak.
The member of the central committee, regional committees and branch committees began reaching in the evening and were welcomed by the reception committee. 15 members from regional and 5 members from all branches have been invited to the conference.
Later in the evening, the market area, health centre, and book stalls were also ceremonially inaugurated. This was followed by the inauguration of Rangsina Sarpo Stage by KAAC speaker and also president of the reception committee Raju Tisso, while the Longmukrang Achatai was inaugurated by Er. Badon Tisso.
This was followed by the handing over of the stage and the conduct of the entire conference to the central committee. KLA president Barim Ingti, GS Joysing Tokbi and all other members were also present at the ceremony.
It may be mentioned here that due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the annual conference of KLA had been delayed and postponed from its usual time of January.
