DILLAI, May 06: A Petrol carrying truck bearing registration number NL 07 AA 1087 overturned at Zero point, along Dillai- Sarihajan road under Dillai Police Station during the early hours this morning resulting in road blockage for nearly three hours.
Eye witness of the incident informed that the accident might have occurred due to overspeeding following which the driver lost control over the truck and met with the accident. On receiving information of the incident, the Police and Fire Brigade team reached the spot and initiated the legal procedures for investigation.
Further, a local resident of the vicinity Mongal Sing Teron informed that due to the steep and hard turn of the road, many road accidents take place in the particular location. He also appealed the concerned department to straighten the road for the convenience of commuters.
