BOKAJAN, May 06: The Shyam community living under Bokajan Sub Division on Friday celebrated the Buddha Purnima. The followers of Buddhist religion from Balipathar, Silonijan and Chokihola areas came together to celebrate the day by organising a car rally.
More than 100 vehicles joined in the rally. Earlier, the believers of Lord Buddha offered prayers in the monasteries.
It may be mentioned that Buddha Purnima marks the day Lord Buddha was born, the day he attained enlightenment and the day of his demise.
