BOKAJAN, May 10: Due to strong wind and heavy rains that hit the Bokajan area on Wednesday, the road near CCI Gate, Bokajan and Sukhanjan along the NH 39 road was disrupted as trees fell on the road, thereby blocking the road. Locals informed TDE that at around 1.45 PM amidst heavy rainfall, a strong gust of wind heading from the south hit the area and consequently uprooted the trees along NH 39 blocking the road either way. The traffic was badly affected during the peak hours on Wednesday afternoon. The traffic was restored after local residents assisted the Bokajan Fire and Emergency Services team in cleaning up the fallen trees from the road.
Further, the area was also badly affected by the storm and some houses, farm lands, and electricity posts and wires were destroyed.
