HAMREN, May 17: Under the direction of Assam Science Technology & Environment Council (ASTEC), Guwahati the Aryabhatta Science Centre, Chinthong Block organised a one-day science programme for students at Church of God English High School on Tuesday.
Among the competitions conducted were model making cum exhibition, poster drawing, extempore speech, idea competition and others. The competition was inaugurated by Church of God English High School, Hamren headmistress Tiplang Rapsang.
Aryabhatta Science Centre, Chinthong Block president Joy Kumar Singha chaired the event and was attended by ASC Chinthong Block Co-ordinator Daniel Enghi. Students from Don Bosco High School, Church of God English High School, Rongkarbi English ME. School, Residential English School and Presbyterian Mission School participated in the various events of the day. Later, winners of the competitions were given prizes and certificates.
