PHELANGPI, May 20: The BJP Hamren Mandal Committee today held its extended meeting at Jengkha in the house of local MAC Mongolsing Timung. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss and share ideas to strengthen the party and bring in more members before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting was chaired by Hamren Mandal committee president Sarsing Phangcho, while the local MAC attended as the chief guest. PHE Board chairman Joelson Tokbi, Mohila Morcha president Kabon Engtipi, VDC chairman Mohan Rongphar and president and secretaries of all 21 polling station committees were also present. All party leaders and workers present stated that the BJP still has strong support from the people of Hamren. They also shared report of the activities carried out at the PS levels.
Speaking on the occasion, KAAC MAC as well as EM Mongolsing Timung said that there were some PS where BJP saw defeat in the last MAC elections. He asked the party workers to work more at the grassroots level to bring better results in the upcoming elections.
As a part of the meeting, the Agriculture Department distributed various farming tools to the farmers of the locality. Among the tools distributed were spray machines, spades, filters, school bags, and also mosquito nets.
