DIPHU, May 20: The Karbi Cultural Society (KCS) held an extended meeting today at the office in Taralangso. Chaired by president Chandrasing Kro, general secretary Bidyasing Rongpi briefed the object of the meeting.
The main discussion today was on the preparations for the grand celebration of the upcoming Karbi Youth Festival Golden Jubilee Celebration in 2024. The central committee had appealed all KCS zonal committees to give their best to make the celebration a successful one.
The house also decided for monetary contribution for the treatment of former KCS Central Committee member as well as a renowned Karbi actress Tado Beypi ( popularly known as ‘Sarpi Kehai’), who is presently suffering from cancer.
The meeting was attended by all the members of KCS Central Committee, and representatives from all the zonal committees.
