DILLAI, May 22: The Dillai police seized 10.3 kilograms of ganja from a vehicle at the Dillai police checkpoint under the Dillai police station here today.
According to the police, the ganja was found from the possession of two persons identified as Sarju Chetri (30), a resident of Nepali basti (Manja), Karbi Anglong and Bishal Chetri (37), a resident of Manipur state, who were passengers of a Tata Magic vehicle with the registration number AS09AC1602.
Following the recovery of the illegal substance, the two were taken into custody. The search of the vehicle was carried out by team of police led by Bokajan SDPO and Dillai OC and CRPF 20 Bn personnel.
