Anti Drugs Awareness Programme held across KA

DIPHU/BOKAJAN/KOILAMATI, May 23: An Anti Drugs Awareness Programme organized by the Karbi Anglong district police and the KSA (Karbi Students Association) was held at various educational institutions across Karbi Anglong with a central theme of ‘Say No to Drugs’ today. Various notable figures were allotted to carry out the task at educational institutions especially Bokajan SDPO, APS John Das and Bokajan OC Mwblik Brahma at Bokajan HS School and Bokajan College, Dillai OC, Police Officers and KSA BRC at Dillai HS School, Deopani College, Balipathar HS School, Sarihajan HS School, Deithor, Chokihola, Rongmongme area and other institutions.  Later the event was followed by ‘No to drugs’ pledge taken by the students. The team in assistance with 16 police stations covered around 107 institutions comprising both Schools and Colleges, reaching out to at least 15000 students.                                            The same event was also held at Diphu Government College at 10 am and was facilitated by SP and KSA Central Executive Committee (CEC). They also held the events at several other Schools in Diphu including Diphu Govt. Boys HS School, Don Bosco HS School and School, Colleges falling under KSA Diphu Regional Committee.                                       The following event was also held at Schools, HS Schools, Colleges falling under Bokajan Police Station and Bokajan Sub-Division including Bokajan HS School, Jinbaba High School, Vivekananda HS School, Eastern Karbi Anglong College, Deopani College, Bokajan College hosted by the Police Department which was accompanied by KSA Bokajan Regional Committee.
