BOKAJAN, May 26: On Thursday evening, a dead body of a man was found at Gautam Basti beside the four-lane construction bridge, under Khatkhati Police Station. The report of the spotting of the dead body by the locals reached the police at around 4:45 PM in the evening.
SDPO Bokajan immediately ordered a team of police led by SI Swmdwn Swargiary to the spot and carry out official procedures to conduct a post-mortem of the body.
The dead body was identified as Lt. Monti Basumatary, S/O Modo Ram Basumatary of 2.5-mile village Daruka Pathar, of East PS Dimapur, Nagaland. An inquiry has been initiated over the male dead body by District Magistrate, Bokajan Yambem Anand Singha.
In the presence of family members and available witnesses and the identified male dead body was brought to the Police Station campus for safe custody and it will send to DMCH Diphu for holding an autopsy examination of the deceased.
