BOKAJAN, May 26: Four Children with Special Needs (CWSN) candidates from Bokajan sub-division passed the HSLC exams 2023 with good percentages and made their families proud. They have overcome all hindrances in their way to succeed in the exam. All four boys are students of Thong Nokbe English High School in Bokajan sub-divisions’ Balipathar Nambor Adarsha.
Sot-Richo Ronghang, a CWSN student having problems in hearing and speaking have cleared the exam with 1st Division, a result which came as a surprise to everyone. His school and parents are overjoyed with his result.
Sot-Richo Ronghang is the son of Doro Ronghang and Rupta Rongpharpi. His parents informed TDE that he was not always a CWSN. It was when he was in Class-VII when he fell severely ill and that illness resulted in him losing the ability to hear and also making him unable to speak with clarity.
The other three boys who passed the exam were Belson Barlo, son of Lt. Victor Barla of Balipathar passing with 2nd division, Litsong Rongpi, son of Muharsing Rongpi and Lily Singnarpi of Sarthe Rongpi village passing with 1st division and Moniram Singnar, son of Longthuram Singnar and Sita Ronghangpi, passing with 3rd division. The news that these boys with special needs have cleared the exam has made everyone happy. Their hard work and ultimate success will encourage more CWSN children to go to school and study.
