DILLAI, June 01: An important meeting between the Dillai Police and Village Defence Party organisation was held at the No. 1 Joseph Terang Memorial Hall in Dillai here today.
The interactive meeting was chaired by new Dillai police station OC SI Nitul Saikia. The meeting commenced with the introduction of all members present.
Dillai VDP president Joysing Timung, CO VDO Alindra Daulagupu, GBs, SGBs ,VDP president secretary several were among the noted guests present at the meeting.
During the meeting, the police and the VDPs exchanged their views pertaining to development of the village society to ensure that they are not deprived or remained backward. In addition to this, the discussion was also held on the importance of maintaining peace and freedom from all antisocial elements.
