DONGMUKAK, Jan 03: In a notable success for the security agency, the Karbi Anglong police seized huge quantity of narcotic tablets and syrups from truck during a check at a checkpoint under the Dokmoka police station here today.
The illegal drugs were seized by the cops led by Dokmoka Police Station OC Sonat Kumar Modoi and Additional SP Crime Branch Nayanmoni Barman during a search of a truck with the registration number NL01AC3022 which was carrying ORSL Apple and Orange packet juice.
According to the police, 70,000 Tramadol tablets and 4,900 bottles of Codeine Relex-CD cough syrup were recovered from the truck. The truck from Guwahati was headed to Imphal when it was intercepted at Dongmukak checkpoint.
