BOKAJAN, Aug 09: No 21 Borjan Constituency MAC and KAAC EM Surjya Rongphar today paid a visit to the house of the families affected by attacks of wild elephant. He was accompanied by former KAAC EM Jivan Ch. Pathak, Borjan VDC Chairman Sunaram Singnar, SBG Borsing Bey, Saret Enghi and others.
On the night of August 7, 10 houses were either completely or partially destroyed by a herd of elephants that intruded the village. The families had to face a lot of trouble from the bad weather as their homes have been destroyed.
This morning, at around 10 AM, EM Surjya Rongphar met the affected families and provided immediate and essential help. He further assured the people that he will talk to the Department of Forest and Environment for compensation and aids to all affected households.
