BOKAJAN, Aug 19: The Karbi Anglong Longri Krehini Sar Habe Amei (LKSHA) today visited Lahorijan to perform the annual ritual they have been performing on the border areas of the district. After performing the worship ritual in other parts of the district’s borders, they had today come to the Nagaland-Karbi Anglong border in Lahorijan.
The delegation included LKSHA president Longsing Teron, general secretary Hemari Engleng, adviser Longsing Tokbi, member Jugendra Engleng and Harsing Teron. Talking to TDE, they informed that the rituals have been performed to seek the blessings of the ancestors for the protection of the borders and well-being of the people living there. They also erect memorial stones in honour of the first Karbis who built a village.
Today, the LKSHA sought blessings from the ancestors for the well-being of the Nihang Donsuri land. Very soon, they will hold another programme for the Kohora region on the border of Karbi Anglong and Golaghat.
