DOLAMARA, Aug 20: Dadhora village located inside Duarbagori MAC constituency continued to remain deprived of basic needs and infrastructure due to absence of good road which is common feature among rural Karbi Anglong. Residents of these villages has demanded slab culvert over Diplu river at Phelang Keramghat area which they said has become one of the biggest causes for their isolation.

Locals told TDE that the PWD department conducted a survey at Bronsonghat for construction of RCC bridge funded by World Bank after a recent video of villagers carrying two wheelers on their shoulders has gone viral which caught the attention of ALA Deputy Speaker and Bokajan MLA Dr. Numal Momin and EM Richard Tokbi and their demand for culvert is only about 400 metres from that site.

Local villagers sharing their experiences said that if culvert is constructed their long woes connected with medical emergencies, daily communication for work, school, market and other purposes would be decrease to a huge extent. The villagers also called upon the elected representatives to accord priority to their demands reminding that the foundation stone for construction of a medical sub-centre would not be realised until their communication woes are taken care of at the earliest.
