DOLAMARA, Aug 21: Ramesh Tokbi, the headman of Kohora Chinthong Tokbi village under Duarbagori MAC constituency had sought financial help from KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang for the treatment of his son Amorsing Tokbi.
On March 18, Amorsing Tokbi met with an accident on a bike. The accident was so severe that he broke his leg. His parents took him for treatment first to Jorhat Medical College and then to Guwahati Medical College. He is now kept at home with an iron frame attached to his legs by the doctors in order to support the broken bone. The several months of treatment had cost the family a huge sum of money. The poor parents had to sell off land and livestock as well.
As per the direction of the doctors, it is now time for the iron frame to be removed. For this, the patient needs to be taken to Guwahati and its cost more money. With nothing left in his hands, the poor father Ramesh Tokbi had appealed for financial aid from KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang and other well-wishers.
