BOKAJAN, Aug 22: The Bokajan Police today seized 12.90 grams of heroin and arrested the person involved in the crime of illegally carrying the substance. At around 1:30 PM today, based on specific input from ASP (S), Karbi Anglong, Assam self along with SI (P) Swmdwn Swargiary and staff, 1 section CRPF of C20Bn. Camp Bokajan a special check was set up at Lahorijan Assam Nagaland Border.
As a part of the checking, police detained one fish seller coming from Dimapur side on a bicycle. From one of the carry bags he was carrying, police recovered one identical plastic soap box containing brown in colour powdery substances weighing total of 12.90 Grams of heroin.
In this connection, one person identified as Md. Sulman Ali (30), s/o Roisuddin of Meleka Dhing, under Juria PS, Nagaon was apprehended for further investigation.
