TUMPRENG, Aug 23: The Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) demanded strict action against one Roy Hotel of Dongkamukam Market under Dongkamukam Municipal Board, West Karbi Anglong. The demand came after customers found the hotel selling rotten samosas, which is a big harm to health.
Early this morning, two persons on their way to work visited the hotel to have a cup of tea. They also ordered samosa and when they ate them, they found it to be unusual. On closer observation, it was found that the samosa contained rotten and stale materials.
The matter was conveyed to the local KSA committee. Led by the vice president Sarthe Ronghang, KSA visited the hotel and saw the rotten food items served to the customers. Annoyed by the act of the owner, KSA immediately approached the municipal board and asked the hotel to be closed.
“Food items sold in hotels must be fresh. Such rotten items could be reasons for severe disease also,” said KSA VP Sarthe Ronghang.
