DILLAI, Sept 04: A crucial meeting of the Dillai LAMPS under the 21 Borjan constituency was held at its office today. KAAC ex-Speaker Longki Timung, Karbi Language Development Board chairman Nobin Terang, former Karbi Lammet Amei general secretary Liladhar Teron, KSA Bokajan Regional Committee secretary Nobin Rongpi, KSA Dillai unit, KRA, KARSA, SGB and GB also attended the meeting.
Contentious issues pertaining to the society were discussed at the meeting during which several members who spoke urged upon the Dillai LAMPS to work for the greater welfare and benefits of the beneficiaries under them. The speakers reminded that the Board of Director were elected on September 18, 2021 and therefore, the elected members must always dispose their duties to bring general satisfaction of the society.
Speaking at the meeting, Dillai LAMPS president Harlongbi Engleng also recalled and emphasised the rules and guidelines of The Assam Cooperative Societies Act reminding that anyone desiring to become share holders must first enroll their name and would be considered for election and must win election to be part of BoD and higher berth.
The Dillai LAMPS president also informed that the Annual General Meeting of their society would be held on September 8, 2023.
