TUMPRENG, Sept 24: The 23rd Fresher cum social meet was successfully concluded at Desabandhu Auditorium hall in Hojai under the initiative of Hojai Karbi Students’ Association.
The event conducted under the leadership of HKSA president Clevarson Ronghang, secretary Dorbarsing Ronghang was attended by Dr. Birsik Hanse, Professor Daina Senarpi along with other esteemed guests. As part of the celebration, all new students were introduced. The purpose of the event was to establish unity among the Karbis studying in Hojai and to facilitate communication in times of need.
The programme was themed “Today a reader,tomorrow a Leader”. Speakers in the event also further elaborated on the theme and advised the students stating that education is the backbone of a society.
“Youths are the future of tomorrow, thus developing good character and knowledge during a student’s life is vital,” one of the speakers said.
