DOLAMARA, Nov 20: Hundreds of BJP supporters attended the Unity, victory and prosperity rally for Duarbagori MAC Constituency organised by the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council at Semson Sing Ingti playground, Deithor on Monday.
KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang attended the event as chief guest. CEM Ronghang also laid foundation stone for the construction of a Higher Secondary school at the Duarbagori constituency. The estimated amount for the construction of the school building is 15 crore rupees. In his speech, CEM Ronghang promised to distribute tea, orange and pineapple saplings to the public. He also mentioned that over 65 schemes have been implemented for the development of Duarbagori MAC Constituency, some of which, under the able leadership of EM Richard Tokbi are under construction, while some schemes have been completed and construction works for some schemes will be started soon.
Meanwhile, EM Richard Tokbi appealed the CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang to help the farmers in exporting the products of the area like oranges, pineapples at the national and international markets. He also urged the CEM to provide cold storage for storing fruits, which will benefit the farmers.
The meeting was also attended by MLAs Dorsing Ronghang, Bidyasing Engleng, EMs, MACs and others.
