BOKAJAN, Nov 27: Under the supervision of KASA, Bokajan LA Sports Association and Hanjanglangso Sports Association initiated the Khel Maharan sports competition 2023 for the Bokajan constituency here on Monday.
The inauguration ceremony presided over by the Hanjanglangso Sports Association president Jivon Chandra Pathak commenced at 03:00 pm in the evening. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Speaker Dr. Numol Momin as chief guest who was joined by MAC Kadom Terangpi, District Sports Officer Relipson Ronghang, KASA secretary Pankaj Teron, Magistrate Keisop, Bokajan OC Monjit Terang and others.
Following the event, the first sport event held was football match which was inaugurated by Dr. Numol Momin. The first match was played between Sarupathar Constituency and Bokajan Constituency. Meanwhile, due to the excellent performance of Sarupathar Constituency, Sarupathar Constituency were defeated with 3-0 goal.
Further, Deputy Speaker Dr. Momin during his speech prayed for blessing the participants. He further, stated that participants qualifying for district and state level from the sports competition will be rewarded with an amount of Rs. 50,000.
Presented guests also awarded the winners in running race and volleyball competition. Besides football match today, various sports event including Kho-kho, Volleyball, Kabadi and Running race would be conducted throughout the periods.
