KOILAMATI, Dec 01: The Inglong Ikpi Baptist Church affiliated under the Nihang Karbi Baptist Association today celebrated its church foundation cum Pre-Christmas at the church premise here today.The church was founded in 2002 and has now completed 21 years of its existence.
The church foundation day cum Pre-Christmas programme commenced with hoisting of the church flag at 9 am led by Pastor Kangbura Engti. The foundation day service chaired by Semson Engi and Deigrum Engti narrated the history of the church foundation and its ministry and the sermon on the day was delivered by Pastor Kangbura Engti. The service was concluded with closing prayer by adviser Babu Engti.
The church was first founded as Deikrum Baptist Church fellowship on December 1, 2000 and was later established as a full church through the NKBA. The church initially started with only twelve families with Lt. Bind Teron as Pastor and Deigrum Engti as secretary.
