DIPHU, Dec 01: In a latest development, a traditional healers body under the name Traditional Healer Association Karbi Anglong was formed during a meeting organised by Piramal Foundation under the ANAMAYA programme at Bokajan on Friday.
During the meeting chaired by the president Madhu Brahma Duwara, various issues of traditional healers as well as the herbal plants that are facing extinction from in the districts, the challenges to preserve the custom and issues on trainings were discussed.
Present in the discussion include vice president Kule Lozom, secretary Kalipada Dey, Piramal Foundation officials, DPO Abhijit Das and DPC Sonali Basumatary among others.
