DIPHU, Dec 03: Diphu MLA Bidyasing Engleng said that joining the Congress or the APHLC in the present time is like sinking or drowning in water because it is the BJP party that will continue to be in power in the next Lok Sabha elections. He made this statement during the ‘Unity, Victory and Prosperity rally’ held in the Jirikindeng playground under the Amreng MAC constituency.
The event was chaired by local MAC and KAAC EM Rina Terangpi, while KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang was present as the chief guest. MLA Bidya Sing Engleng, MLA Dorsing Ronghang, MLA Rupsing Teron, EMs Madhuram Lekthe, Amarsing Tisso, Richard Tokbi, Lunsing Teron, Ritesh Enghi, Prabhat Ch. Taro, Uphing Maslai, Rina Terangpi, Mongal Sing Timung, Surjya Rongphar, MACs leaders of BJP-EKADC, BJP-WKADC and KAAC board chairmen were also present as guests.
“BJP cares for all constituencies so you can see developmental works happening in Amreng MAC constituency. I assure to work as per the memorandum submitted today regarding the development of rural areas and all the work will be done within the next three years,” said CEM Dr. Ronghang.
The CEM also announced 89 different schemes for the constituency with an estimated cost of Rs. 72 crores. He informed that all the schemes will be completed in four years.
“To help more poor people of the district, free ration cards will be distributed on December 15,” he added.
In today’s event, several SHGs were given financial assistance of Rs. 10000 and other materials. It was informed by the organiser that at least 1050 people left APHLC and Congress to join BJP in the event.
