DIPHU, Dec 05: The Hmar community of Diphu celebrated the 32nd Sikpui Ruoi Festival today at Sarsing Teron Langkung Habe Memorial Town Hall, Diphu.
The event was attended by KAAC MAAC Johny Timung as the chief guest. In his speech, he assured that all govt. schemes available will reach all the Hmar villages under Lumbajong constituency.
Diphu Government College Principal Professor Jibon Neog, Assam University Diphu Campus, HOD Department of History Professor Paul B. Chonzik, Diphu Police station Officer Incharge J S Khawbung, and several others attended as guests.
KAHA president Pu S. Thiek ACS (retd) talked at length about the importance of the festival in the Hmar community.
