KKCA Upper Dikrong expresses gratitude to KAAC CEM

DILLAI, Dec 07: The Upper Dikrong area committee of the Karbi Kurusar Chingrum Amei (KKCA) extended their overwhelming gratitude to the CEM of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) for organising an event to bring together different groups and individuals working to preserve the Karbi traditional faith or religion. The KKCA branch called a press meeting this morning at Dikrong Community Hall to express their thankfulness. The area committee’s president Wenesh Teron, secretary Sarsing Rongpi and other members were present.
On 4th Dember, under the initiative of KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, a meeting was called at the Arboretum Cum Craft Centre auditorium, Diphu. The meeting was attended by leaders of Karbi traditional faith, traditional priests, traditional singers and others. Several things related to the preservation of the faith were discussed. The CEM also announced that very soon a mass gathering of the followers of the Karbi traditional religion will be held. The target will be to gather more than 2 lakhs people.
KKCA Dikrong appealed to the public to come forward and attend the proposed mass gathering programme.
