DIPHU/BOKAJAN, Dec 08: The district administration of Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong, and Bokajan SDO today released the draft electoral roll for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This was informed by the administrative officers of the two districts through press conferences and press statements today. Karbi Anglong district election officers informed about the electoral roll of Bokajan, Howraghat and Diphu LACs, while the officers of West Karbi Anglong informed about the 111-Rongkhang (ST) and 112-Amri (ST) LACs.
Authorities have informed that all claims and objections regarding the inclusions and deletion of names in the voter list will be entertained till 8th January 2024. Furthermore, it was informed that
The Non-Photo Electoral roll is available online on the two districts’ website and in the office of election officers. All the BLOs will be provided Electoral roll of the respective polling stations and citizens can verify their names in the electoral roll from BLOs or by visiting our office.
As per the draft electoral roll, the total voters of in the district is 553165 ( Bokajan-154676, Howraghat -157545 and Diphu -240944 elector). After the process of rationalization of polling stations in the post-delimitation period, the total number of polling stations in the whole district is 651 (Bokajan-203, Howraghat-222, and Diphu-226).
Among some of the changes done after the rationalization of polling stations under Howraghat LAC are Virvar Govt. L.P. School is bifurcated into two Polling station as Virvar Govt. L.P. School Left (920 Elector) and Virvar Govt. L.P. School Right (680 Elector), Doidak Gaon, Ram Pukhuri Gaon, Ingti Killing Gaon, Bura Terang Gaon added to 184-langhin govt. M.E. school – middle under 109- Howraghat(ST) LAC from Gonesthan L.P. School under 110- Diphu (ST) LAC as per final Delimitation order. Bhaoraguri Gaon section under 186-Bahbari L.P. School (109- Howraghat ST LAC) was withdrawn and added to PS 5 Amguri L.P. School – Left under 110- Diphu (ST) LAC as per delimitation order. Section Swapan Gaon from PS 5-Amguri L.P. School – Left under 110-Diphu (ST) LAC added to this PS (189-Goroimari L.P. School) under 109- Howraghat (ST) LAC as per delimitation.
Meanwhile, under Diphu LAC 1 Doidak Gaon (294 electors), 5 Ram Pukhuri Gaon (105), 6 Ingti Killing Gaon (31), 7 Bura Terang Gaon (17) withdrawn from Existing PS 3- Gonesthan L.P. School under 110- Diphu (ST) LAC and added to PS 184 Langhin Govt. M.E. School – Middle under 109- Howraghat (ST) LAC as per final Delimitation order. Section 6 Khoyar Para Gaon withdrawn from Phelang Kro L.P. School and added to PS 7 Dighali Majgaon L.P. School – Middle, Section Paklangso Biswanath Pathar renamed as Saloni, new polling Station provided at Jirka Ingti.
Halodhi Aati(184 Elector) is withdrawn from BAKALIAGHAT H.S. SCHOOL – RIGHT and added to Bakaliaghat HS School Middle, new polling station provided at Tarlong English L.P. School by withdrawing from Siloni L.P. School – Left. Sections -1 Kensing Gaon (Hemari Bey) and 2 Lower Dilaji Nepali Basti Gaon are withdrawn from Dilaji Ha-Imu L.P. School – 4 Mile Dilaji and added to Semson Sing Engti L.P. School-Right.
