DILLAI, Dec 09: In the programme held today at the Joseph Terang Memorial Hall, Dillai the Borjan regional committee of the Karbi Rong Asar Amei (KRAA) had distributed essential papers to record the proceedings of Karbi customary law.
More than 100 village headmen of the Borjan constituency were present in the programme. Chaired by Borjan KRAA president Kehai Tokbi, it was attended as the chief guest by KAAC EM Surjya Rongphar. Borjan VDC chairman Sunaram Singnar, KRAA CEC president Dhormo Teron, Borjan KRAA secretary Dorsing Hanse, vice president Harlongbi Kathar and other leaders of the organisation were also present.
During the programme, the house discussed several powers and functions of the Karbi Customary Court. They also talked about the rules and procedures by which the courts should work.
