BMD provides sand gravel for Rintithe Rongmarjong road

BOKAJAN, Jul 21: Bokajan Municipal Board carried out construction work of Ward No. 7 Rintithe Rongmarjong village here today. Following this, residents expressed their hope of better life and relief from their long communication woes.
The road construction work was an outcome of the written representation submitted by Ward No.7 ward commissioner Horo Tokbi along with the village headmen to BMB chairman Sardili Bey as it was the only village which has remained deprived of road under the Bokajan municipal body.
Meanwhile, Horo Tokbi along with the headmen and residents of the village have expressed gratitude to the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council EM Surjya Rongphar for his priority towards the communication woes faced by the residents and initiating the road construction work.
While expressing their joy, residents of the village stated that sand gravel road will ease their communication problems to a great extent.
Residents stated former Bokajan Municipal Board chairman Binod Kumar Shah had done nothing for their village while the commitment of the present chairman could be gauged by the good work he has done.
