JAPRALANGSO, Jul 27: The Nihang Donsuri KCS Zone (NDKCS) has officially constituted the reception committee for the upcoming 33rd Karbi Zonal Youth Festival, during a meeting held today at the Japralangso Cultural Complex.
The meeting was presided over by NDKCS President Semson Timung, with Secretary Dilip Engti assisting. Prominent attendees included Karbi Cultural Society (KCS) Central Committee member Surot Kr. Bey, Board Chairman Silarson Rongpi, former MAC Riso Singnar, along with noted local figures such as Dilip Rongphar, Borsali Teron, Kamal Bey, Klengsarpo Tisso, James Rongphar, and several Gaonburas (GB) and Senior Gaonburas (SGB).
During the deliberations, all speakers emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting Karbi heritage, urging participants and attendees to don traditional Karbi attire as a mark of cultural pride and identity.
Following detailed deliberation, Riso Singnar was unanimously appointed as the President of the reception committee for the 33rd Karbi Zonal Youth Festival. Singnar will be supported by Borsali Teron, who has been named Vice President, while Silarson Rongpi was appointed as general secretary. Dilip Rongphar was appointed as assistant secretary, rounding out the key leadership positions of the committee tasked with overseeing preparations for this major cultural event.
