DIPHU, Aug 02: A webcasting programme on release of 20th installment under PM KISAN Samman Nidhi was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Karbi Anglong at KVK Premises. The programme was attended by 212 farmers and farm women along with the Senior Scientist & Head of the KVK, Dr. Monuj Kr Doley, Chief Scientist of AAU-ZRS Diphu, Dr. KD Singha, Bharatya Kisan Sangha President Mr. Kurusar Timung , Scientists of ZRS, Diphu and Subject Matter Specialists of KVK, Karbi Anglong. Dr. Doley on his welcome speech addressed the importance of PM Kisan for the farmers and also explained the salient features of the event . The Chief Scientist of ZRS Diphu during his speech encouraged the farmers to be more advanced with the new technologies and Mr. Kurusar Timung explained about the significance of PM Kisan for the farmers. Futher during webcasting programme Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji released the 20th installment of Rs. 20500 crore to 9 crore 70 lakhs farmers through direct benifit transfer. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture), Mr. Shourov Dutta. Lastly PM Kisan beneficiaries gave their feedback and expressed their experience on the scheme.
