PHULONI, Jan 08: Residents of Phuloni area have expressed serious concerns over several cracks seen on the walls of the under construction of a model hospital in Phuloni.
Residents of the area alleged that absence of any inspection of materials and pace of work executed by the contractor have resulted in compromise of quality. “Hospital or any health centre are allocated or sanctioned once and therefore, compromise of work is unacceptable at any cost. These cracks must be sufficient for the authority and officials to take action on the issue,” locals said.
“The authority and concerned department would be collectively held responsible if the hospital building suffer early damage within a few months or years after its completion. In addition to this, the department and present dispensation would be held responsible if it affects the overall health services in the event of any early collapse or damage of the infrastructure,” warned the locals.
Following this, people of the area has called upon the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council leaders and concerned department for early visit and to accord highest priority on the matter.
