BOKAJAN, Jan 08: In another development, the Karbi Anglong Police recovered a total of 650 gram during search conducted inside Scorpio inside the Bokajan police station here this afternoon.
According to cops, the narcotic substance was recovered at around 2:00 pm from inside the Scorpio vehicle with the registration AS01AL1677 during a search conducted by the local police at naka set up in front of CCI guest house immediately on receiving information.
The heroin was kept hidden inside 50 soap boxes hidden inside the vehicle. In this connection two persons identified as Isaac L (36), s/o Loli, Makhel village, Senapati, Manipur and, Lombit Moran (46), s/o Lt. Dandeshwar Moran, Choto Habjan Tea Estate, Makum, Tinsukia.
The naka was set up by Additional SP (Crime) Nayan Moni Barman, and assisted by Bokajan SDPO John Das (APS), OC Bokajan, OC khatkhati, C20 CRPF Camp Bokajan, APRG staff and PS staff, informed the cops.
