KOILAMATI, Mar 20: The Borpung Sarthe Timung LP School of Jipi area, falling under Nilip MAC constituency is one of the many schools which is hit by lack of adequate teacher, basic facilities and infrastructure.
The school was established in 1982 is functioning with single teacher even it has completed 41 years. The school is functioning with a single teacher James Kumar. And like many other teacher, he is also the headmaster, CRC and BLO for the area due to which the teacher is unable to dedicate adequate time for teaching the students.
During the visit, the teacher told TDE that the school has over 26 students. “Lack of mid day meal, uniform and lack of adequate teacher is having serious impact on the education of the students as I have to carry out other non-teaching task,” the teacher lamented. The school teacher also informed that students have also not received school uniforms which are to be provided free by the department.
“The lack of separate room for office, leaking roof and the ringwell sanctioned under JJM scheme which has also been left incomplete has also aggravated the woes and the dismal condition of the functioning of the school affecting the student and their future,” the teacher added.
Following this, the teacher along with local inhabitants have urged upon the concerned department and authority for their immediate visit and steps to for urgent solution to the genuine issues the school is facing.
